Discipleship is not an option
At DelCo Alliance, we have bet the farm on discipleship. We believe that the marker for success in a church is not exclusively budget, butts, or baptisms. Our hope is that God's goodness, will, and wisdom are manifest in his church through his work in his disciples. In this way, we minister to the city around us.
Discipleship Outcomes
How do we know when our discipleship to Jesus is going well? Or not going well?
Have you ever wondered what it looks like to measure growth or to understand change?

We believe discipleship to Jesus includes these 6 discipleship values, found all throughout scripture. These values are markers of the grace of God growing in us as we seek greater and greater Christ-likeness.

Intimacy with God
Intimacy with God is the first and primary discipleship value. Without intimacy, all the other values are just good ideas. Every aspect of our discipleship should be marked by a deep connection to Jesus, his character, and his interaction with the world.

Fruit of the Spirit
The fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5) is what hopefully spills out of us when we are bumped and bruised in life. They represent Christ's character both in suffering and in joy.

Gifts of the Spirit
Every single believer has spiritual gifts: spiritually-empowered skills and abilities that equip the church and have supernatural return on investment. You can find these gifts listed in 1 Cor. 12 and Romans 12.

Stewardship
The bottom line of stewardship: everything belongs to God. His desire is that we would partner with him to use our resources the way he would. This includes money, relationships, possessions, time, and energy!

Grace Testimony
Paul asks us a question in Romans, "How will people believe in Jesus if they do not hear?" It is assumed, in your discipleship to Jesus, that you will have stories to tell about his grace poured out on your life: past, present, and future.

Area of Accountability
Area of Accountability is your mission field. Who are the unique people and what are the unique places that you are called to be a witness to Jesus' goodness? How do we take responsbility for the lostness and brokeness in those places? and What is Jesus' desire for them?
